In conjunction with the 22nd Teachers Day celebration, our school participated in the student entrepreneurship development expo (SEDEx) that will be held at Airport Mall on 13th - 15th November 2012 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. There were two products prepared by the school for this expo: vases and headbands.
Product #1 - Vases
These vases were made from plastic bottles that was covered with newspapers sealed with white cement to give it the curve and the weight. Then, it was covered with threads and the tip of the spoons to give such great looking little vases. For finishing touches, it was sprayed with metallic/pearl acrylic paint - the smell was... *dizzy head*. All of the vases can be purchased at the price ranging from $2.50 to $5.00.
Product #2 - Headbands
For our school's second product - headbands, were simply made by using materials as shown on the picture. Its quite a hassle to make these. From stitching the lace to the band, choosing what is appropriate with limited beads and such and working with the hot glue was frustrating. But, hey... there were 12 headbands of 2 different sizes that you could choose from. Price ranging from $3.00 to $5.00.
One of the work-in-progress headband. :)
